Day 1 – September 14

Arrive in Romania’s captivating capital and check into the elegant Grand Hotel Continental. This evening, we’ll gather for a welcome dinner to meet our fellow travelers and begin our journey into the mysterious heart of Transylvania.

Day 2 – September 15

We begin with visits to the Stavropoleos Monastery and Saint George Church, masterpieces of Byzantine architecture adorned with sacred icons and carvings. After lunch, we’ll tour the monumental Palace of Parliament, one of the largest buildings in the world.

Later, we journey by private boat to Snagov Monastery, the legendary resting place of Vlad the Impaler. Long before his burial, the island was said to host the frății albi—the “White Brothers,” ascetic warrior-monks guarding sacred relics. Return to our hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 3 – September 16

After breakfast, we depart Bucharest for Țigănești Monastery, then continue to the mystical Iulia Hasdeu Castle—known as “The Spirit Castle.” Built by philosopher Bogdan Hasdeu through alleged séances with his deceased daughter, the structure overflows with esoteric symbols, Masonic geometry, and whispers of the supernatural.

We’ll stop at the opulent Peleș Castle, home of King Carol I, before arriving in Brașov. Check into Villa Katharina, our boutique hotel, and enjoy dinner together.

Day 4 – September 17

Stroll through the charming medieval streets of Brașov, visiting the Black Church, Catherine’s Gate, and Council Square (Piața Sfatului). After lunch, explore the Schei Quarter and St. Nicholas Church, the oldest in the city. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

Day 5 – September 18

Today we explore Bran Castle, the dramatic fortress forever tied to the legend of Count Dracula. We’ll also visit the nearby Bran Church and National Museum of Bran, followed by lunch in the village.

In the afternoon, we tour Rhein & Cie. 1892 Cellars, Romania’s oldest sparkling wine cellars — where kings and queens once raised their glasses.

Day 6 – September 19

After breakfast, we head to Sighișoara, the UNESCO-listed citadel and birthplace of Vlad the Impaler. Visit the Clock Tower, Church on the Hill, and the Covered Stairway, said to echo with ancient whispers at night. Lunch will be at Vlad’s Birth House, now a storied restaurant.

Continue to Cluj-Napoca and check into ELANIA Resort & Spa for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 – September 20

Descend into the spectacular Turda Salt Mines, an otherworldly subterranean landscape carved entirely from salt. Enjoy lunch at Hunter Prince Castle & Dracula, then visit the serene Mihai Vodă Monastery before returning to our resort for dinner and relaxation.

Day 8 – September 21

We begin the day exploring the historic streets of Cluj-Napoca, including St. Michael’s Church, Unirii Square, and the viewpoint at Cetățuia Park. After lunch, venture into the eerie Hoia Forest, famed as the world’s most haunted forest and a known UFO hotspot.

As evening falls, we visit Banffy Castle (Bonțida) — the “Haunted Versailles of Transylvania” — for a private dinner and paranormal investigation within its candlelit halls. Later, return to Hoia Forest for a nighttime skywatch and exploration of unexplained phenomena.

Day 9 – September 22

Today we travel to Sarmizegetusa Regia, the ancient Dacian capital and “Stonehenge of the Carpathians,” where stone circles and sacred terraces hum with prehistoric energy.
Next, visit Corvin Castle (Hunedoara), an immense Gothic fortress once imprisoning Vlad the Impaler — regarded as the most haunted castle in Eastern Europe.

Our day continues through Ulpia Traiana Sarmizegetusa, the Roman city that rose after Dacia’s fall, blending native mysticism with imperial grandeur. Finally, explore Bolii Cave, a vast cathedral-like cavern said to have been home to dragons and spirits of legend.

Day 10 – September 23

Our morning takes us to Teleki Castle, an 18th-century Baroque manor shrouded in tales of secret Masonic gatherings. On our return, we’ll stop at the breathtaking Turda Gorge, a limestone canyon steeped in myth — where locals still speak of werewolves, ghostly lights, and Dacian moon rituals. Dinner and overnight in Cluj.
