Overview

Step into the world of Outlander with this once-in-a-lifetime 11-day luxury tour across Scotland. From the rolling hills of the Highlands to the cobblestone streets of Edinburgh, every day is designed to capture the spirit of adventure, love, and Scottish heritage that define the beloved series.


Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival & Welcome Dinner
Meet at Dalhousie Castle Hotel & Spa, a magnificent 13th-century fortress near Edinburgh. Unwind in the spa or explore the castle grounds. Enjoy a formal welcome reception with cocktails and canapés, followed by a group dinner at The Kitchin.

Day 2 – Castles & Queens
Visit Blackness Castle, The Kelpies, and Linlithgow Palace, birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots and Outlander’s “Wentworth Prison.” Lunch at Gigi’s Italian, then dinner back at Dalhousie.

Day 3 – Castle Leoch & Distillery Tasting
Depart Dalmahoy at 9:15 AM for Doune Castle (“Castle Leoch”), Deanston Distillery for lunch and whisky tasting, and Drummond Castle Gardens (Versailles). Stay at Dunkeld House Hotel, where the actors once stayed. Dinner at hotel.

Day 4 – Witch Trials & Winery
Visit Tibbermore Kirk (Claire & Geillis’s trial) and Cairn o’ Mohr Winery for tastings and lunch. Return for a relaxing afternoon at Dunkeld House. Optional dinner on your own.

Day 5 – Craigh Na Dun & the Highlands
Check out at 9 AM. Visit the real “Craigh Na Dun” location at Kinloch Rannoch, then the Highland Folk Museum. Stay at Culloden House, where Bonnie Prince Charlie once stayed. Dinner included.

Day 6 – Culloden & Clava Cairns
Tour the Battlefield of Culloden and Clava Cairns. Evening dinner at Culloden House with a special guest TBA.

Day 7 – Clan Fraser Country
Head east to Aberdeenshire. Visit Castle Fraser, the ancestral home of Clan Fraser. Stay two nights at Maryculter House and dine at the hotel.

Day 8 – Stones & the Sea
See Easter Aquhorthies Stone Circle, Dunnottar Castle, and enjoy a Seidear Sparkling Cider tasting. Dinner at The Silver Darling, overlooking the harbor.

Day 9 – Inverness & Edinburgh Luxury
Lunch at the “Covenanter Inn” (Mrs. Baird’s B&B in Outlander). Check into Prestonfield House, Edinburgh. Dinner at The Kitchin, Michelin-starred.

Day 10 – Lallybroch Farewell
Tour Edinburgh Castle, Hopetoun House, and Midhope Castle (Lallybroch). Farewell drinks reception and dinner at Prestonfield House.

Day 11 – Departure Day
Farewell breakfast and departures. Safe travels!
