Experience the mystical beauty and history of Cornwall in this 6-day tour, where you’ll visit some of the most iconic sites associated with King Arthur and Cornish legends. From Neolithic stone circles to ancient villages and Knights Templar chapels, discover Cornwall’s rich past with expert guides.

Day 1: Legends of Arthur - Tintagel Castle & Neolithic Sites (August 30)

Check out of the hotel early at 8:00 am, and begin the 4-hour scenic drive to Cornwall. Our first stop will be the ancient Spinsters’ Rock, a Neolithic dolmen, followed by a visit to the Hurlers Stone Circle, one of Cornwall’s largest stone circles, steeped in myth. Pick up lunch on the go from Subway, then continue to King Arthur’s Hall, an intriguing site adorned with 72 stained glass windows depicting Arthurian legends. Afterward, we’ll visit Tintagel Castle, the legendary birthplace of King Arthur, perched dramatically on the rugged coastline. Close the day at The Cornwall Hotel & Spa, where we’ll enjoy a relaxing dinner on-site.

Day 2: Sacred Stones, Roche Rock & Menacuddle Well (August 31)

After breakfast, leave at 9:00 am to visit the eerie and mystical Roche Rock, steeped in ancient lore. Continue to Menacuddle Well, a 15th-century holy well said to grant wishes to those who drop a pin into its waters. Next, explore Dore Iron Age Hillfort, which dates back to the 5th century BC. Afterward, tour the St. Austell Brewery, where you’ll enjoy beer tastings and a hearty lunch. In the afternoon, visit Dozmary Pool, where legends claim King Arthur’s sword, Excalibur, was returned to the Lady of the Lake. Next, discover the secrets of Temple Church, a 12th-century Knights Templar chapel, and stop by the Tristan Stone, an inscribed stone said to mark the grave of Tristan, one of the knights of the Round Table. End the day with dinner at the historic 16th-century Polgooth Inn.

Day 3: Lost Gardens of Heligan, Halliggye Fogou & Seal Sanctuary (September 1)

Check out at 9:30 am and start the day with a peaceful walk through the enchanting Lost Gardens of Heligan. Afterward, visit the Cornish Seal Sanctuary and meet some adorable rescued seals. Have lunch at the nearby Wheel Inn. After lunch, explore the ancient underground tunnel complex of Halliggye Fogou, dating back to the Iron Age. Check into the Carbis Bay Hotel & Resort for some downtime before enjoying a late dinner at the hotel’s Beach Club Restaurant, with an Italian-inspired menu.

Day 4: St. Michael's Mount & Ancient Stone Circles (September 2)

Depart at 10:00 am for the stunning island sanctuary of St. Michael’s Mount, rich in both history and legend. Enjoy a traditional Afternoon Tea here before returning to the mainland. Next, visit Chyoone Cross and Boskenna Cross, followed by the ancient Tregiffian Burial Chamber. Stop by the mystical Merry Maidens Stone Circle, where 19 maidens were said to have been turned to stone for dancing on a Sunday. Continue to the unique Boscawen-un Stone Circle, featuring a leaning central stone and a quartz menhir. Our final visit will be to Chysauster Ancient Village, an Iron Age settlement unique to this region. Return to the hotel to freshen up before heading into St. Ives for dinner at The Hub.

Day 5: Lanyon Quoit, Carn Euny, & Penzance Gin Tasting (September 3)

After breakfast, visit the intriguing Lanyon Quoit, an ancient dolmen, and the enigmatic Men-an-Tol, where ancient rituals were once held. Explore Carn Euny Holy Well and its ancient village, as well as its burial chamber counterpart, Brane Entrance Grave. Continue to Sennen Church, a historic site dedicated to both St. Sennen and John the Baptist, with ties to the Knights Templar. Lunch will be at the First and Last Inn, followed by a visit to Penzance for a gin tasting at a Cornish distillery. Return to the hotel for some relaxation before our final dinner at the Michelin-starred The Ugly Butterfly, featuring a chef’s menu with optional wine pairings.

Day 6: Exeter Cathedral & Return to London (September 4)

Check out at 9:30 am and begin the 5-hour drive back to London. Stop midway in Exeter to visit the grand Exeter Cathedral, followed by lunch at the Cosy Club. After lunch, continue to London Heathrow Marriott, where we’ll have our final dinner together and prepare for the next day’s departures.
